Design and Body

Boxes and bulky, so that's two things that describe the formation of Nokia X's. Therefore Nokia X less comfortable to grip because of the stiff elbow angle despite relatively size fits in the palm of the hand. With dimensions of 115.5 x 63 x 10.4 mm and weighs around 128 grams certainly is not difficult to bring the Nokia X in a pants pocket. Fortunately pilhan bright colors into an attractive aesthetic value many people's eyes to this phone. Because intended for medium-class and Harganyapun not too expensive, then the Nokia chose to use the full plastic material.

The face of Nokia X filled with light earpiece and proximity sensor, 4.0 inch screen, a capacitive back button, and a mic. Meanwhile, the back filled with a camera and a speaker. By carrying out the Dual SIM feature access to a second slot along with a microSD memory card slot should open the back cover and also have to remove the battery first.

The left side of the phone is loaded with two buttons are the volume buttons and the lock / power, where the right hand side there is plain nothing. To the top filled with a headset port and the bottom filled with microUSB port.
Screen quality issues, in our opinion Nokia X screen is commensurate with the Nokia Lumia 520, which looks quite sharp display and wide viewing angle but also looks a little dull, the Lumia 720 is not clear. Mataharipun For use under quite difficult despite the light sensor, but screen can compensate for lack of light. Kind used TFT with size of 4.0-inches and WVGA resolution (480x800 pixels). To turn on your phone screen to activate the knock-on features that are not limited to just the screen area.

Interface

Finally Nokia using Android. Nokia X only uses basic Android platform in which all of the look and function is modified so that it looks like Asha phones with the ease of plug and exhaust applications. Even at the informasipun not written how Android version is used (using the Jelly Bean 4.1) just says Nokia X software platform.
Therefore, even though you are already adept at using the Android operating system, while attempting Nokia X definitely needed some new when you understand its interface. Basically Nokia still provide simplicity as in the Lumia does not have homescreen and apps drawer. There are only two main parts after the entry of the lockscreen is a list of all the applications in the form similar to the Lumia Tiles belongs, and another part'' Fastlane''.

While Fastlane sort of recent apps, which displays all the applications and activities that have been carried out. Not only can see, but for some applications can also be controlled via this page, for example, play multimedia content. If you pull down it would appear more shortcuts to the alarm menu.
What happens if Android does not have the notification bar? Yes like that Nokia X where there remains a drop down window, but it only contains the toggle for fast setup alone. Like the Lumia, placed on the lockscreen notification will feel full if many applications catapult notification. You can access the application directly catapult notification by shifting to the right in the notification and remove it by sliding to the left. Unfortunately there are no markers in the absence of notification of the application icon.
After we install some apps and do not miss BBM, the performance of this phone can not be said to be fast because when moving the page there is a little lag, and if out of an application takes a while new users will be taken to the main page (we even had experienced launcher crashes ). It makes sense, because the Nokia X only equipped with only 512MB of RAM which qualified for the Windows Phone platform

Camera

Nokia X only has one resolution 3MP camera with fixed focus and LED flash comes without. Yes once again because this phone for middle class and reduce cost then this can only be given Nokia. The interface is not too many features, quite standard for the size of Android. Due to the lack of an auto focus feature shooting took place fairly quickly.

The quality is pretty good for the size of his own class, the images look sharp, natural coloring and detail although in some shots, especially close objects look blurry.
Its pretty sad, this camera is only capable of recording at 480p resolution saved in 3GP format so do not expect the impressive results.

Multimedia

Viewing images and video content can be done through the menu Gallery. The interface will disort based folder can be changed to based on location or time. That makes clumsy is the loss of the option buttons commonly found in the general Android. So how to display the options like edit, details, and set as? Apparently you can bring up the options screen swipe through the bottom upwards, quite tricky.
Playback of video content on the Nokia X pretty miserable apart interface and features are very basic, to the MP4 format was not able to play 720p video smoothly, due to the lag during the video is playing. We also difficult to try other formats because of these limitations and the difficulty of finding a third-party video player application compatible.
As for the content of music, the Nokia X is qualified to play popular formats like MP4, AAC, MP3, MIDI. Display interface is easy to operate and can display a collection of songs based on artist, album, song, and playlist. When songs are played on the lockscreen music controls, but not in the main menu. There are also processing the sound output can be set manually or preset. Do not miss the FM radio feature as an alternative entertainment. For the speaker quality is quite good and powerful, and placement although behind but not reduced firmness when the phone is placed on a flat surface.

Browser

There are two choices of browsers out of the box, the Opera and one of the Nokia's browser based on Chromium. Display Nokia browser is very simple and minimal features. However, its performance is not too admirable practically standard. Due to memory limitations then to open the desktop version of the site will experience a heavy browser lag and is not likely to happen to crash. For myself though multitab support but we recommend a maximum of only 2 tabs open only to experience still quite good.

Application compatibility

We feel the need to discuss the compatibility of applications in Nokia X. Because as we have explained above even though it uses Android 4.1.2 Jellybean, but Nokia customizing of the base without using Google Play Service. So for some applications that require Google Play Service will take place abnormality that led to the crash function, one popular app Path. Another effect is that you generally can not make a purchase in-app.
In addition, Nokia also does not include the standard Google Android default apps like YouTube, Maps, Play Store, and others. So the Nokia Store for a replacement provided that we can say no complete collection of applications. But Nokia is also suggested as an alternative to third-party app stores like Aptoide. If none is found also sought application, users can sideload the application of APK form.

Benchmark

     Quadrant Standard: 2715 points
     AnTuTu: 7642 points
     NenaMark2: 33.6 fps
     Multitouch Tester: maximum 2 touches

Conclusion

Nokia X is a prime experiment with Android products being thrown into the market . The result ? We think like a product trial , a lot of the parts that should be reviewed and improved . Such as solutions for applications that require the services Google Play Service , the placement of the notification , and the most important is the performance . It is priced price is not expensive , but if it is seen to products from competitors who actually use Android , Nokia X feels like a toy phone that is less reliable for the main phone and the only one . Though once again this is just the first Nokia in Andoid , hopefully they can develop better so it looks more attractive lineup . Honestly when compared with Lumia , we would prefer the Microsoft platform because it feels more mature than the Nokia X platform .

Excess

The shape and choice of attractive colors

Nokia's first mobile phone that can fuel

Quality speakers and a powered

New experiences with Android

Shortage

    performance is slow

No Google services ( Play Service, Play Store , etc. )

Recording and playback video is not good
